LUMINOSITY
In the gorgeous dusk of never quite dark
Laughing with girls in the depths of the park
Throwing a ball and seeking the grail
Of her quickening smile and flicked pony tail
Those summers always haunt me
In the way warm pavements can
Walking above the streetlights
When alchemy first began
The half light strewn with wonder
Like snowflakes from white skies
Forming crystals in my open mind
That froze as friendly lies
